MISS LUCILLE JACKSON, WARREN RANKIN WED
Miss Lucille Jackson of
Tulsa, Okla., and Warren Rankin of Springfield,
both former residents of
Chaffee, were married on July 25. The bride is
the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. D. E. Jackson of Tulsa, and the groom is
employed by the Frisco Railroad
at Springfield, where the couple will
reside. A reception was
held at the home of the bride's brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Glen White.
MISS MARIE COVINGTON, REX WILLIAMS WED
Before the altar of the
Assembly of God Church, lst Friday evening, the Rev. Floyd Heady read
the vows of the single ring
ceremony uniting in marriage Miss Marie Covington, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. E. A. Covington,
and Rex Williams, son of Mrs. Murrill Lane. Miss Wanda Jackson was
maid of honor. Cecil Harris
was chosen by Mr. Williams as best man. Wedding music was provided
by Mrs. Raymond Coakley
at the piano and Bill Heady, soloist. A reception after the ceremony was
held in the hotel dining
room. Mrs. Dave Newcomer presided at the punch bowl and Miss Renda
Hooker served the wedding
cake.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Williams
are graduates of Chaffee High School. She is employed by the Chaffee
Manufacturing Co., and Mr.
Williams is an employee of Sports Specialty Shoemakers. They will live
in an apartment at 123 Parker
Avenue.
